The sci-fi survival-horror classic Dead Space returns, completely rebuilt from the ground up to offer a deeper, more immersive experience. And characters like Jacob Temple and Elizabeth Cross, who only appeared in audio logs in the original game, now get some screen time and have a role to play in the Dead Space story. In addition, some secondary characters received a bit more screen time and personality overall, such as Nicole and Mercer. As revealed on the game’s official website, the story of the Dead Space remake has been reworked and expanded to have a better continuity with the wider universe around the franchise, adding a bit more lore or making some adjustments to the lore, and linking better with the later games, books, comics, and the movie.
